The biggest platform enhancements announced at the Roblox Developers' Conference RDC23 were those powered by AI.🕹 AI assistantA conversational AI tool that aims to simplify the process of creating experiences on the platform.See video.🕹 What can the Roblox Assistant do?The assistant allows creators to type in prompts to generate virtual environments. For example, if you type "I want to make a game set in ancient ruins," the assistant will populate your world with relevant assets like moss-covered columns and broken architecture. It can even handle more specific tasks like adding a campfire where players will spawn.🕹 Beyond basic environmentsRoblox CTO Daniel Sturman hinted that the assistant could eventually create sophisticated gameplay elements and even generate 3D models from scratch. Talking to NPCs, day 3: adding backstory + a new look Inworld has lots of good character prompts: their flaws, their mission in life, how they speak. I've known a lot of hilarious sarcastic old aunties, so I describe her as someone who defuses tension with humor, sometimes hitting a little inappropriate. 😄 For her character model, I used Ready Player Me, a user-friendly avatar tool with a focus on trendy styles. I had trouble crafting a character that looked like an older woman, lol. ReadyPlayerMe connects to most major metaverse apps, including Inworld.
