Reflecting on my journey as a Senior Parts Manager at SIMHA MOTORS (KIA), I realize the immense growth and learning I've experienced in inventory management and customer service. Chris Eaton is a Key Account Manager and has worked at RS for eight and a half years. We caught up with him to discuss some of his memories of working in the business and to find out more about his current role. Hi Chris, what does a typical day look like for you as a KAM at RS? CE: "It's extremely varied to be honest. I could be supporting an F1 customer in the morning, a food factory in the afternoon and aviation company to finish the day. I support customers with their purchasing problems, maintenance problems, ESG problems, inventory problems and everything in between. RS is a solutions based company we are here to support the customer to ultimately be more efficient, save time and money."What is your favourite thing about working at RS? CE: "The variation of the job. I really enjoy learning how different things are made and watching new technology being brought to life. I enjoy working for RS as they have really provided me with a platform to grow and learn."Do you have any stand out memories from your time with the business so far? CE: "There have been many stand out memories. One in particular was supporting a customer on a complex issue that they were then able to reference and use as a case study to enable them to pass their CIPS Procurement course." #RSLife #Sales #KeyAccountManager

Business Development @ JEMA Motors and Automation | Operations, Sales, Contract Negotiation

So JEMA MOTORS AND AUTOMATION has customer's that are in every industry. Since our main office is located in #Houston #TX. we obviously are surrounded on all sides by O&G. O&G and #Texas is kinda like Peanut butter and Jelly. Can't have one without the other 😁 Coming out of 2014 after my best year ever, I recall rolling into 2015, and all the wheels locked up! I was never in jeopardy of my job, but my pay sure suffered as the O&G industry took a big blow. We took this time to really make a push and diversify into other industries as much as possible. Before 2015 about 60-70% our eggs were in the O&G basket. Started hitting those phones, knocking on new doors, new industries, learning about new applications and different product lines that weren't so familiar to us, but were #BIG in other industries. #Texas really is the best state in the #US! We are completely #self_sustaining! Our economy is doing so well in #Texas that we tear up good roads just to have something to do. Houston is really at the ❤️ of #ALL the industries like agriculture/farming, Petrochem, Marine, water/wastewater, aggregate, pulp and papermills, HVAC, all of them! The 🐈 got out of the bag about #Htown approx 7-10 years ago because folks started B-lining for #Houston. I'm talking about manufacturers and distributors from all around! This is #hustle_city and if you are a #hustler, you recognize and know who the other hustlers are! I try my best to align myself with vendors like that, because we all have to #rely on someone! I only try to rely on people that come through for me, because if you are my vendor and you fail consistently, guess what that means? It means I fail consistently, and I take too much pride in what I do and who I do it for. Vendors either love me or hate me. Not too many in between. The ones that don't like me, well those are most likely the same vendors that tell me they are going to do something and never do it. I understand sometimes things fall through, when that happens, I expect a call letting me know you are not going to do as you said you were, and I would appreciate hearing that you will be on top of it before the sun rises the next AM. That is how I handle business, and unfortunately for myself, I set my expectations high for others, and there goes ALL my #serenity! You know what they say right? "The higher you set your expectations, the lower your level of serenity." 💯 If I haven't told you, then you aint cool 😎 No, I just want to say, I am so excited and stoked to be working with and next to my old road dog again, and I ain't talking about #Faith either, however I am talking about a #coyote though! 👊 💪 Birds of a feather flock together#FunTimes #HustleCity #Moving #Inventory #Relationships#ProblemSolver #Creativity #Passion #Strategizing #Vendors #Customers #Blessed #Grateful #Family #OnG#Hydraulics #Mining #Compressor #Aggregate #Refineries #PlantsJEMA MOTORS AND AUTOMATIONWWW.JEMAMOTORS.COMOFFICE (832)559-3307

Some important things I’ve learned through my first three weeks as assistant service advisor:1. Effective communication not only with customers but with your coworkers.2. Putting the customer and their needs first.3. Knowledge of the different services required for each vehicle.4. Effectively communicate with technicians about what’s going on in the shop.5. Make sure the Carwash is operating smoothly and not falling behind.6. Make sure waiters at the dealership are checked in and checked out in a timely manner.7. Manage deliveries and returns effectively. 8. If a customer has been waiting for too long make sure they understand why that might be happening and assure them that their vehicle will be done soon.9. Always greet customers and make sure they know that they are valued.10. Last but not least, when work is stressing me out, take a deep breath and do everything that I can to make sure everything operates smoothly. While the service department may be different from Sales there are many similarities from both of them. I value my experiences in Sales and Service and look forward to using these skills to help me grow more in the real world.
