A sheet pan takes the concept of a one-pot meal and flips it onto a pan. It saves time, makes clean-up easier, and doesn't require expensive equipment or fancy ingredients. Just start with your protein of choice, then add vegetables, fat and flavorings, and roast at high heat until everything is golden brown.
Obviously make sure that you're using oven safe meal prep containers. and you wanna use a. tray underneath. to catch any drips and make sure that a lid can fit in top and there you go super easy.
This includes prepped soups, stews, chicken and rice, and salads. The main drawback of storing meal prep food in the fridge is that it can dry out easily. A freezer is an ace option for meal preps that will be eaten more than four days later. This includes pizza, pasta, meat, and veggies.
Full sheet pans, the ones you see used in restaurant kitchens and commercial bakeries, are actually ginormous (26x18") and won't fit in most home kitchen ovens. But if you need to cook for a crowd, the Nordic Ware Big Sheet Baking Pan, at 21x15", is your fighter.
Quarter sheet pans are typically 9 by 13 inches (a standard size for sheet cakes), half sheet pans are 18 by 13 inches (this is the size of most pans described simply as baking sheets) and full sheet pans are 26 by 18 inches (too big to fit in many home ovens, but the standard commercial size).
The right baking sheet to use for sheet pan dinners is called a half-sheet pan. It's made of heavy-gauge metal, measures 18 by 13 inches, and has a 1-inch rim all the way around. It's sturdy enough to take high oven heat — and sometimes broiler heat if your recipe calls for it.
But for meal prep, the best cut to buy is boneless, skinless chicken breast. We know, we know. It sounds boring. But hear us out: First of all, chicken skin will get soggy if you leave it in the fridge overnight.
The basic portion sizes that we want to aim for are this: 4 oz of protein, 1/2 cup of grains and 2 cups of veggies per meal. I use containers that hold 3 cups of food. My containers always contain around 2 cups of veggies, 1/2 cup of protein and 1/2 cup of grains — and that's enough for ME, a 5'3” woman.

Pasta meal preps are among my favorite! They generally last three to four days in the fridge, but you could push it to five days and still live to tell the tale of how delicious it was. Note that pasta dishes sometimes risk getting a little dry because your pasta will soak up extra sauce overnight.
